Preview: Aswad + The Hempolics @ The Jazz Cafe (London; Friday 11th January 2019)

Aswad and The Hempolics will be coming back to London’s Jazz Café on 11th January for a show that should already be in the diaries of all reggae fans. Aswad defined the reggae scene in the late 70s and have released over twenty albums since the start of their widespread career.

Amongst Aswad’s plethora of hits are “Don’t Turn Around” that became a UK No. 1 hit, “Shine”, “Three Babylon” and “Shy Guy”. There is plenty in their back catalogue that will get you dancing, and on top of this, they’re also known for their unique showmanship that fills the room with energy and vitality.

As if all of this wasn’t enough, they will be joined by The Hempolics, who have taken the baton from Aswad and are piercing through the London dub/reggae scene. There are less than 100 tickets available, so it’s time to act quick. See you there!
