Preview: George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic 40th Anniversary Show @ Electric Ball Room (London, 07/08/2015)

Dr. Funkenstein is back in town and you’d be pretty sure that he has packed in his luggage some jazzy suits and overwhelming rhythms.

George Clinton, frontman of the legendary bands Parliament and Funkadelic, needs no introduction: he has made the history of funk and it won’t be exaggerated to say that influenced the history of music too, at least the one of the last fifty years.

Even if the energy of the late 1960s and ‘70s has slowly grown dim, he will surely drive the Electric Ballroom in Camden crazy, thanks to his impeccable style and masterful talent.

Funk, psychedelia, a touch of Futurism, pinches of rock, hip-hop and soul, and the presence of the funkiest man on earth…
…do you need any further spur?

Well, we haven’t said yet that it will be the 40th anniversary of the release of two Parliament’s momentous albums like ‘Chocolate City’ and ‘Mothership Connection’

and…we haven’t also said that there’ll be a not-to-be-missed after-show with some fine djs like Keb Darge, Ollie Teeba (from the The Herbaliser) and Snowboy.
