We had plenty of fun on Saturday during Celebrating Tanabata event at Rich Mix…so we’re more than looking forward to keeping the Far-East party mood going. Luckily, London and its event calendar have perfect timing and in just a few days’ time will host the largest Japanese “fun fair” in the UK.
Among the dozens of activities taking place during the festival (from food tasting to cosplaying), you will have the opportunity to meet again Hibiki & Akari and enjoy their performance (on Saturday). Then, you’d also go through another unique sake tasting experience with Sam Sake. Look for them throughout the weekend at the Sake Experience and on Friday evening during the convivial networking appointment Kampai Social.
While, if you want to know more about what to expect from the 2017 edition of Hyper Japan…
“For the best of all things Japanese, visit Hyper Japan event, held at Tobacco Dock 14-16 July. Foodie, fashion lover, shopping addict or massive music fan – there’s something for everyone. Alongside their usual offerings of traditional Japanese cuisine and sweets, Hyper Japan is excited to be joining forces with the fabulous Urban Food Fest for the first time! For the sake fan, the Sake Experience is an amazing chance to not only taste over two dozen different sake but to meet the producers behind these carefully crafted beverages and find out what goes into the steps from rice field to bottle.
The Hyper Live stage is also not to be missed, with music performances ranging from edgy electro trio Reol to rock band The Sixth Lie or shamisen playing “nagauta pops” songstress Fuka Mariwo. For those who want to get crafty, learn traditional handicrafts such as origami, ikebana, or even cooking at their creative workshops“.
