Kadialy Kouyate and Muntu Valdo are two musicians who are deeply enriching the London music scene.

They come from Senegal and Cameroon and when they moved to the UK, brought their luggage brimming with stories, sounds and images inspired by their century-old traditions. Their new residence has helped them to develop their careers, but they also profoundly helped their neighbours to broaden their cultural horizon introducing them to their griot and afro-blues repertoire.

That will happen on 1st December, when Kadialy and Muntu perform at Rich Mix thanks to the support of Focus Organisation. The event will also be the first opportunity to listen to the new album of the Senegalese kora virtuoso. Na Kitobo (meaning ‘my book’ in Mandinka language) will be released the following day and represents an additional lure for every music lover.
