Gigs like this don’t happen every day, and attending them, you’ll go through an authentic musical cross section of African culture. Stella Chiweshe and Amira Kheir are indeed two artists able to portray some of the most inspiring characters of their musical roots.

Stella is a remarkable Zimbabwean artist, revered not only because of her talent, but also because of the fact that she’s one of only a few women playing the mbira. Since the 1970s, she has been a symbol for Zimbabwean and a driving force behind the Southern Africa female emancipation, next to being one of the most appreciated singers and musicians.

Even if Amira Kheir might not yet enjoy the same status as Stella Chiweshe, she’s already a striking artist and “diva-in-the-making”. The Italo-Sudanese singer/songwriter enriches quality songwriting, influenced by Northern African and Mediterranean countries, with her lively attitude, which makes her performances inspiring.

On Sunday 14th July, embrace Africa, its music and the strength of its female musicians.
