The Enfants terribles from the Golan Heights are finally back! TootArd, the band that, little more than a year ago, fired us up with their second album (Laissez Passer) and related tour will be taking another trip to the UK pretty soon.

Not only will they be playing two sets at Glastonbury Festival (on 26th June), but they will also pay a visit to London on 29th June, when they will electrify Hootananny with their very own blend of reggae, desert rock, Middle Eastern rhythms and Mediterranean vibes.

What’s more, they won’t be alone on stage. Tarantola and their folk-rock with gypsy and Southern European music, and Skabba and their original uptempo (re)arrangements of Abba’s dancy pop evergreens will be good music partners of the Syrian ensemble.

That’s the way you would spend your last Saturday of the month!

There are hardly any better ways with which to illustrate the concept of ‘upbeat’ than by narrating a TootArd show. The band, hailing from the Golan Heights, with its heartening music, are the best answer to the decades of political troubles and social struggles burdening the region, and one of…
