Event Preview: Worldly @ The Snake Pit (London; Saturday 17th September 2022)

Worldly Launch banner

September is usually when holidays are weeks-old memories or distant future plans, but don’t despair, you can still travel and party in sound.

On Saturday the 17th of September, get off the ground with us for a vertical take-off in African, Latin American, Middle Eastern and Mediterranean vibes thanks to Go Dugong, Luma, TrYb, Carthnage, AmarAll, Earthly Measures and Bombotropics DJs.

They will set off from the The Snake Pit, AAJA Radio‘s playground in Deptford, for a 10 hour-long journey which will also let you dance the afternoon and night away to global beats, afrobeats, cumbia, global bass, baile funk, amapiano and much, much more…

Departure time is scheduled at 2PM and after a panoramic and bassy set by University of Tropical Sound’s honcho Carthnage, we will head to Southern Italy with Go Dugong for a whimsical exploration of Apulia through the rhythms, beats and instruments of tarantella presented in a tribal, psychedelic and first of all dancy perspective.

The Milan-based musician, DJ and producer, supported by tamburello (frame drum) player Lorenzo d’Erasmo, will lead us to discover his latest album Meridies, a “reinterpretation of the rhythmic and musical tradition of Southern Italy, filtered through electronic synthesis and contemporary languages”.

Our music tour will move to the SWANA region led by DJ, radio host and producer Luma and rhythmically reach Western Africa thanks to the exhilarating selection of Afro-electro and Afro-dance treats and delights courtesy of DJ, producer and singer/songwriter TrYb.

Her set will pave the way for some of the most eclectic music adventures you can experience in London town. Captained by  Curtis from Bombotropics, from Earthly Measures and AmarAll from Baila, you better fasten your seat belt for a free flight in Latin American and Pan-African vibes and rhythms.

September means that summer and holiday season might be over, but party time is just about to start at the Snake Pit!
