“One day, I had the project to release a twelve-inch with different versions of Disk La Rayé, a furiously swinging classic from the West Indian music. I first tracked the original, a title by Jobby Valente on the album Flashback with the immense Jacob Desvarieux in charge of the guitar and the arrangements. On side A, everything was going well. On side B, things got complicated. I was confronted head-on by Mi Moin Mi Ou. Irresistible. I was glued to the record spinning. I fell in love with this title right away! It became a major and indispensable track in all my DJ sets! And what about that twelve-inch project? We’ll see later.“
