Description

WOMAD- The Worlds Festival.

Reasons to go to WOMAD
#1- To listen to the best music you have NEVER heard before.
#2- Tour the World in 80 hours.
#3- Take the kids for FREE (somewhere they can run free)
#4- To stay in 5 star luxury in a field and fall asleep under the stars.

After 17 years of WOMAD Rivermead in Reading we moved to the historic grounds of Lord Suffolk's Charlton Park in Wiltshire. The move has proved more than successful. The lay of the land allows those explorers a chance to explore, shade for relaxing and dozing, space to roam and potter, art installations to blossom, secret stages to pop up.
International music resonates throughout the grounds, bounces off trees in the Arboretum, whirls through the green arena and dashes across acres of beautiful grass land which becomes the camping grounds during the last weekend in July. It is truly a unique event and we suggest you come along and experience the beauty for yourself.
In the summer WOMAD signed a further 5 year contract with Lord Suffolk, so the festival will stay nestled in these grounds for years to come.
