Latinos in London, New Latin Corner & Comunidad Andina UK presents part of Inti Raymi Festival an special celebration including some of the top bands and musicians based in London to celebrate this special date in a FREE EVENT with live music by KAUSARY & LOKANDES , plus special guests direct from New Castle ALX ALFARO, and band leaders well known musicians Wilfredo Avalos "ANTARA" & Dante Concha "AMARU III" . INTI RAYMI was the most important festival of the Inca Empire. It celebrated the most important entity in Pre-Columbian civilizations, the Sun. To commemorate this historic tradition, This collective group of musicians and the New Latin Corner will be hosting Live music by a series of acclaimed UK based artists, originally from the South American Andes as well as popular Peruvian - Latin american food and drinks.

Leaded by Johnny Rodriguez, Kausary are one of Europe's best-known Andean bands based in the UK. They boast an exciting, expressive and talented line-up that will enchant any audience with their sounds of Latin America. Whether it is music for the heart or for the feet.
Formed in 1995, in the UK, Kausary has a repertoire of traditional Andean and contemporary Latin sounds. Styles typical of the Andean highlands, coastal lowlands, Amazon basin and forest, Cuban, Latin are all played with a depth of emotion unequalled.

Kausary in Quechua (the Andean language) means To Revive. As suggested in their name Kausary promises to revive the Andean culture through the music so that we can feel its universal message. From Peru, Kausary dressed in colorful costumes – skilfully, and with emotion, play traditional Andean music and diferent styles combined for this special night.

LOKANDES, is the combination of two words: 'Crazy' and 'Andes' which represents the intention of our music - crazy music from the Andes -. This project was started in London, during December 2007, by Carlos Saldaña & Alx Alfaro. Also including in the line up from Bolivia well known pan pipe and flute player Phaxsi Coca among different musicians from Japan, Spain and UK. This project aims to create Alternative music with roots from traditional Andean music.

Lokandes aims to bring its audiences original music with socially conscious lyrics, at the same time bringing awareness to Latin-American cultures playing a red hot fusion of Afro-Andean and Latin beats with other contemporary music styles such as Funk, Latin, Reggae, Jazz, cumbia, etc.. Taking the melodies and energy of Andean music and bringing it up to date.

Alx Alfaro is a Peruvian composer and guitarist, and leading proponent of Latin Music. He was born in Cuzco - Peru the capital of the Inca Empire, and has more than twenty years of experience delivering live performances and workshops. He has devoted his life to the study of music completing Degrees in Music Production and Jazz; he is a multi instrumentalist. is one of the very few Latin guitarists/percussionist who has also successfully crossed over into other different genres of music. Alx spends time each year in South America to keep in touch with his routes; he enjoys photography and is writing his first book about the "Charango" – The little guitar of the Andes.
