3MA: Ballaké Sissoko, Driss El Maloumi, Rajery

3MA Jazz Cafe2

We are honoured to present 3MA the extraordinary pan-African trio interweaving three musical traditions from Mali, Morocco and Madagascar.

Runners up in the Songlines 2019, African & Middle East artist category, the group have shot to international fame with their elegantly-textured melodies, bubbling grooves and spine-tingling harmonies.

The trio of Ballaké Sissoko (kora), Driss El Maloumi (oud) and Rajery (valiha) recorded a fine debut album in 2008, before their enormously successful follow-up, 2017's Anarouz.

‘An Afrophonic symphony of plucked strings. A must for all lovers of instrumental African music.’ Afropop
