Adriano Adewale & Benjamin Taubkin

From subtle to sumptuous on piano & percussion, Brazilian piano star Taubkin has been making waves with his sensual mix of lush traditional arrangements laced with cutting edge technique and contemporary harmony. For this tour he has teamed up with exhilarating and innovative percussionist Adewale, who has shared the stage with Seu Jorge, Oliver Mtukudzi and Jools Holland, among others.

Their work together evolves around the play of push and pull between two instruments which are often considered the backbone of bossa nova. Experimental and improvised yet focused on building soundscapes, harmonies and melodies, this is music that effortlessly transforms itself from solid to liquid and from earth to ether.
