Alice is joined by her full band for a night of original compositions, a few old folk songs and a cover or too. The only full band gig of the year, after a remarkable performance at the National Portrait Gallery this is an opportunity not to be missed.
Alice Phelps leads her band on harp and powerfully husky vocals, augmented by double bass, percussion, viola, violin and backing vocals. Influenced by folk from near and far, Celtic to Eastern, she experiments with delay, blues motifs, and intricate melodies and rhythms to create a melting pot of contemporary and traditional styles, traversing the territories between psychedelic folk and cosmic jazz. This is a truly unique artist.
