Awale ljb

A truly magical and uplifting cross-cultural collaboration, bringing together Afro-latin, Funk and Soul elements with a Senegalese twist.

Electrifying rhythmic explorations between drums and Senegalese sabar drums. The Horn section travels from Ethiojazz to Fania all stars seemlessly, while bright guitar lines interlock with catchy bass lines at the heart of the groove's fundation. A powerful combination to uplift everyone.

Awalé are back for 2018 after a year of writing and recording. They are eager to present a new musical flying object. Songs of peace and unity sung in Wollof by London based Senegalese Biram Seck.
