Binker & Moses

Binker

Joining us for their only London show of the year, semi-free jazz trailblazers Binker & Moses have won a loyal following for their intense, hypnotic live show and become one the frontrunners of the much talked about London scene.Influenced by the music that surrounds them including grime, hip-hop, electronic and blog culture, as well as, of course, jazz, they’ve connected with a new, younger audience.Following the release of their second album Journey To The Mountain Of Forever last year, which earned the duo vast worldwide acclaim (as well as a performance on Jools Holland), the duo return to the Jazz Cafe following the release of their new album Alive In The East?Alive In The East? perfectly encapsulates the fervent energy and future-facing magnetism of the current scene in London. Full of vehement improvisation, shamanic spiritual free jazz trances and invigorating raw power, the albums two-drum, two-saxophone, trumpet and harp combination is all at once hypnotic and mercurial.
