Please feel free to bring any pictures, poetry or text of people that you wish to remember. Although this revolves around Brazil, it is open to all.

About Dendê Nation
Led by Mac Dendê, this percussion & dance troop play the Afro-Brazilian percussion stylings of Bahia, spreading their Samba-Reggae beats through the streets of Hackney Carnival and Nottinghill Carnival. Find out more about their weekly classes here.

About Baque Luar
Baque Luar are a London-based collective of female vocalists and percussionists, united by their love of Brazilian and Afro-Brazilian roots music. Drawing inspiration from the rich soundscapes and traditions of maracatu, coco, bumba meu boi, congado, and ciranda, as well as sacred rhythms of Brazilian candomblé, Baque Luar combine original multi-vocal compositions and arrangements with powerful percussive grooves.
