Returning to London’s Walpole Park, the Ealing Jazz Festival will exhibit an exciting mix of local talent and household names in 2017.
Grammy Award-winning bandleader Kenny Garrett and his quintet top the bill along with visionary saxophonist Courtney Pine feat. London-born father of neo-soul Omar Lye-Fook, not to mention leading pioneer of Ghana's highlife and afrobeat scene, Ebo Taylor. Then there are the sounds of 12-piece afrobeat, dub and jazz collective Nubiyan Twist, brooding instrumentalists Mammal Hands and gypsy jazz guitartist Remi Harris to look forward to alongside an abundance of local talent!
LINEUP:
Saturday: Courtney Pine feat. Omar // Ebo Taylor & the Saltpont City Band // Nubiyan Twist // Lauren Kinsella & Kit Downes // Como Clave // Danzon // Denver Cuss // Faith I Branko // Increase the Peace // Karena K // Kate de Freitas & The Babacools // Matuki // Simians Of Swing // The Brass Funkeys // TORUS

The concept of an outdoor jazz festival hardly conjures images of glitter-filled Glastonbury excitement, a young hip crowd and dance-fuelled elation. However, previously exclusive jazz appears to be undergoing a fashion revolution and the grounds of Glynde Place hinted at this. Love Supreme, the UK’s only three-day greenfield jazz festival…
