The tour which is part of Womex, runs over 4 days, with 8 bands, 16 shows in 16 venues across Wales. The tour features artists hand picked from global showcases appearing at Womex 2013 in Cardiff, with support from Welsh artists, giving those across Wales the opportunity to experience some world class artists.

The Welfare will be hosting the event which sees one of the true greats of Ghanaian Music, Ebo Taylor play live with support from Welsh Band Alaw. Ebo Taylor is one of the most legendary guitarists, a fearless composer, arranger and solo artist who is one of the influences behind afro beat music. He has embraced a fusion of traditional and Western forms of popular music and is now leading his own 8 piece band to Wales. Ebo's collaboration and friendship with the legendary Fela Kuti lasted over 30 years, and he is still at the very top of his remarkable groove and this event promises to be one to have you up on your feet dancing.

Support comes from Alaw who unite the talents of three tremendous Welsh musicians – Jamie Smith (accordion) well known for his band 'Mabon', Oli Wilson-Dickson (fiddle) and Dylan Fowler (guitar) whose subtle interplay is a joy to watch. Drawing on a wealth of experience they take their audiences on a musical journey in which tunes brought back from Bulgaria or India sit alongside their passion for the old tunes of Wales. From sublime slow airs to dazzling dance tunes, Alaw promises a performance of joyful and life affirming music.
