Brazil, Haiti and Western Africa; these are the three founding elements of Marcos Aganju’s music; elements that the Lisbon-based Brazilian guitarist and technology researcher mixes, hybridises and allows to grow together with electronica and hip-hop to create a cultural and rhythmic crossing through the Atlantic Ocean.

You can join him on his musical adventure on Sunday 24th November at Hootananny in Brixton for a free-entry show, when he will present his brand-new album Plantation Sons, accompanied by visuals by Dally Schwarz.

In his latest work, Marcos retraces and sets to music the Afro-American diaspora, recalling its images and words. He will do that in his very own way, helping himself with provocative spoken word poetry and far-out sounds.

On the last Sunday of November, get inspired by a thought-provoking musician and his journey in musical research
