Make Sunday Special: Stapleton Road 'The World On One Street'

Trinity Community Arts, Stapleton Road Working Group, Stapleton Road Traders and Up Our Street are working together to make Stapleton Road's Make Sunday Special the best yet!

We're working on a community celebration that will involve a programme of contemporary World Music, Food, Stalls, Dance, Performances and Film, all representative of the local area - The World On One Street!

47SOUL
Batch Gueye Band
The Scribes
Linda B & Tornados
Sasha Steppa
Area Boys

Headlining the event we have 47SOUL bringing us eclectic sounds of Arabic dabke, incorporating street music of Palestine, Syria, Jordan, and Lebanon. We're looking for musicians representative of the local community so get in touch if you are interested in performing!

As part of the event, there will also be a range of 'Get Active' workshops for people to get involved in, with themes including Sport & Fitness, Science & Nature and Art & Craft.

“We welcome this opportunity to work in partnership with others to make Stapleton Road ‘Make Sunday Special’, a true reflection of the diverse community in which Stapleton Road serves. We aim to showcase and celebrate local talent, skills and community spirit” Pat Usherwood, Chair of the Stapleton Road Working Group

We're looking for people interested in having a stall at the event, in keeping with our theme 'The World On One Street'. Click here for more information about stalls.

We're looking for volunteers to help us deliver the event on the day, so why not register your interest and help us to make sure we deliver an event that the community can be proud of! Click here for more info about volunteering.
