Pat Thomas & Kwashibu Area Band

We’re joined by one of Ghana’s all-time great vocalists: “The Golden Voice Of Africa” - Pat Thomas and the Kwashibu Area Band.

A regular collaborator with Ebo Taylor, Thomas was a mainstay of ‘70s and ‘80s Ghanaian highlife, afrobeat and afro-pop scenes, hitting big with the Ghana Cocoa Board-sponsored Sweet Beans band.

His 2015 release on Strut Records announced his triumphant return as a bandleader and a force within Ghanaian highlife circles and beyond. In 2019 he is back with new singles on Strut once again and a brand new European tour to help Strut Records celebrate their 20th anniversary.
