(BRIGHTONIAN TROPICAL FUNK COLLECTIVE)
Latin Percussionist Cicely Taylor heads up this eight piece ensemble and brings a contemporary feel to her writing, which references musical influences from Hip Hop, Jazz and Funk as well as her travels studying music in West Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean.
Tanzanian/Kenyan vocalist Siggi Mwasote has generated her own unique lyrical style, giving a fresh funk-soul twist to the traditional African aesthetic. Many of the lyrics are written in a mixture of Swahili and English and the unique female-led perspective is communicated passionately through the music.
Debut album ‘BROTHERS & SISTERS’ received exclusives from FIP (Radio France) with airplay on 6 Music from Lauren Laverne and BBC Radio 2 from Huey Morgan and Alex Lester as well as glowing reviews from Blues & Soul magazine, The Guardian and The Independent. The video to Bata Boy was premiered on AFROPUNK and the band was featured on the Spotify USA weekly playlist and Bandcamp USA Weekly Radio.

(CONSCIOUS HIP HOP/AFRO SOUL)
Native Sun is a London based group led by rapper Mohammed Yahya, born in Mozambique, and singer-songwriter Sarina Leah, born in London with Caribbean roots. Their sweet melodies fuse addictive head bouncing hip-hop undertones, conscious bilingual lyrics and catchy hooks - perfect for a climate in need of an uplifting message.
Mohammed and Sarina joined forces in 2010, fusing Hip Hop and African rhythms with the aim of promoting a positive message of universal peace, equality, social justice and environmental change.

Family Atlantica duo represents the core of the celebrated Family Atlantica band. Luzmira Zerpa is a traditional Venezuelan musician, poet and singer with a magical voice acclaimed by Manu Chao. Her husband, London born Jack Yglesias (The Heliocentrics, Quantic live) is the band leader, producer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist. He incorporates many musical influences, such as psychedelic, highlife, steel-pan, Ethio-funk, calypso and equatorial jazz.
The duo convey a delightful insight into Venezuela's musical roots through the singer's mighty voice and the percussionist's mastery of rhythms - pretty much unknown outside Venezuela.
