Roda De Choro

nov_roda1.jpg

This November join us for a Roda with a difference: the founder of Clube do Choro UK, Gaio de Lima, invites you to cut his METRE-LONG DREADLOCKS in aid of children with cancer in the UK and Brazil.

As well as raising money for this worthwhile cause, the evening will still be filled with Brazilian choro music. Played in a circle, or Roda, musicians from any level or background are welcome to play.

Bring your instrument for the Roda and some spare change for the haircut!

Special Guest

We are also delighted to be welcoming the amazing musician Dirce Leite as this month's special guest.

One of the most unique instrumentalists in Brazilian music today, Dirce plays a variety of instruments, including the flute and saxophone. He combines charisma and energy to bring together influences from both the suburbs of Rio de Janeiro and the fudion of Lapa.

Dirce has played with some of the greats, including Zeca Pagodinho, Chico Buarque de Holanda, Ney Matogrosso and Caetano Veloso.

Clube do Choro UK is proud to host such a respected musician for our final Roda de Choro of 2012.
