Family Atlantica Quartet

Soundway Records trans-atlantic, multi-national super group FAMILY ATLANTICA present their Quartet formation with cooking grooves of Ghanian highlife and Calypso beneath the powerful voice of irrepressible Venezuelan Diva Luzmira Zerpa, unmissable! "London's musical melting pot at it's very best" Guardian ****

Family Atlantica are a band that could only have formed in the multicultural mecca of London. Fronted by the Venezuelan vocal powerhouse Luzmira Zerpa, London-born percussionist Jack Yglesias, and Nigerian/Ghanaian percussionist Kwame Crentsil. Together, their fusion explores the wealth of music on either side of the Atlantic. Zerpa's rich and expressive voice, underpinned by intoxicating rhythms, delves into stories from Africa and the Americas with unparalleled joy and enthusiasm, uniting the music of the African diaspora.

Electric Jalaba

Electric Jalaba is a story of five musicians, including 4 brothers, passionate about groove and electronic music, who discovered in 2011, in London, the magic and authenticity of Gnaoua music through the young maâlem Simo Lagnawi. This natural musical connection gave birth to a surprising style and fluidity. Electric Jalaba always bring their brand of Psychedelic Gnawa, haunting vocals and driving North African rhythms! The space-age band is a collaboration between electro-groovers Soundspecies and Gnawa master musician Simo Lagnawi that slinks along like the best desert blues yet kicks like the subtlest kind of dub. Guaranteed to blow the crowd away every time!!!
