Shlohmo at Scala

Shlohmo Scala

Los Angeles native Henry Laufer goes by the alias Shlohmo for his experimental hip-hop productions, which encompass far-ranging influences such as R&B, doom metal, and drum’n’bass. A founding member of Wedidit Collective, he first received attention for early releases such as 2011’s Bad Vibes, which mixed airy, abstract beats with grimly atmospheric guitars. Following collaborations with Jeremih and Banks, Shlohmo released the heavier Dark Red in 2015, and he expanded on that album’s sound with the more apocalyptic The End in 2019.
