Submotion Orchestra bring their kaleidoscope of sound to EartH
Iconic Electronic/ Jazz outfit Submotion Orchestra are returning to London for a memorable live show at one of the city’s most exciting new venues, EartH. Renowned across the world for their utterly unique fusion of Jazz, Dub, Electronica and Neo-Soul, this 7-piece will tug on your heartstrings with ethereal melodies and Jazz harmony, whilst rattling your rib cage with the purest bass in the world – trust us.
Forming in Leeds nearly a decade ago, Submotion Orchestra released their now legendary debut album Finest Hour in 2011, featuring the immortal lead single ‘All Yours’. Emerging in a musical landscape shaken by dubstep, the album spearheaded a new wave of Dub/ Jazz fusion and garnered a huge response from tastemakers such as Mista Jam, Trevor Nelson and Gilles Peterson. Subsequently signing to Ninja Tune/ Counter Records, Submotion have since released 5 iconic albums, have shaken stages all over the world, and can consider the likes of Don Letts, Lauren Laverne and Pete Tong as dedicated fans.
Lead by Ruby Wood’s fragile, intimate and captivating vocals, the band’s soaring horn lines, deep bass, dazzling percussion and stunning Jazz keys coalesce to defy the perceived limitations of an instrumental live band. To believe it, you have to feel it. The emotion, the energy and above all, the bass.
Do not miss this one-off chance to witness the iconic Submotion Orchestra as they deliver songs from both their stunning back catalogue, and their critically acclaimed new album Kites. Tickets are going to disappear rapidly, get yours now.
