Terrace: Henry Wu & Glenn Astro

On 16th July, Oval Space welcomes two maestros of broken beats, future jazz and soulful house music to our beautiful outdoor Terrace, as man-of-the-moment and Yusuf Kamal producer Henry Wu, and Money $ex Records boss Glenn Astro join us for an all-day-long alfresco b2b beatdown.

Henry Wu has enjoyed a landmark year. In 2017, the South Londoner's prodigious production and DJing talent has broken into the wider dance music consciousness, courtesy of a well-received EP on Alex Nut's Eglo, and above all, 'Black Focus', his truly special album with Yusuf Kamal on Gilles Peterson's Brownswood Recordings. Glenn Astro's star also continues to ineffably rise. Together with close friend and collaborator Max Graef he's released on Ninja Tune, as well as releasing a mini LP on his own Money $ex Records. As DJs, Wu and Astro are two of the finest to emerge from the latest generation of digger DJs, and their smooth, soulful sounds are perfectly suited to an all afternoon long session on Oval Space's Terrace.
