The amazing Turban's are returning.. for a raucous and beautiful evening of playing and singing Balkan Gypsy Klezmer, dancing Jamboree into an oriental musical Turkish sauna.. fueled by the fire of absinthe and that intangible spirit that you all bring to the place which has Jamboree spoken about in Athens, Greece, Croatia, Slovakia, France, England.. worldwide!
Their wonderful Greek friends El Khandak will be supporting them!
Traditional Cretan music is wild and unpredictable. Quite a different thing to the disciplined bouzouki music of the Greek mainland. Endless melodies, one after the other in stomping rhythms, sometimes monotonous and archaic, sometimes almost ecstatic. The oriental influence cannot be missed.
You only have to imagine the beautiful, chaotic embellished deep traditional sounds of El Khandak combined with an intimate evening coated in an oriental atmosphere to jump on that tube to Jamboree.
