We team up with Gilles Peterson's We Out Here Festival to bring back to life the project that celebrates legendary saxophonist and composer Gary Bartz's influential music.
In his musical journey from playing with Charles Mingus, Max Roach, Miles Davis and Art Blakey - Blue Note Records, to a solo career marking him as the luminary of the fusion movement of the 70s, Gary Bartz Quartet recorded great albums such as Another Earth, which took inspirations from John Coltrane's iconic A Love Supreme.
After celebrating the 50th anniversary of this iconic release in New York at the beginning of this year, Gary Bartz comes to London accompanied by UK's leading spiritual jazz outfit Maisha - UK led by Jake Long. This fascinating band also features singer Dwight Trible Music with his deep-rooted, soulful sound.
