We team up with Women In Jazz to present a trio of breakthrough artists from London’s thriving jazz scene.
British-Bahraini flugelhorn player Yazz Ahmed presents her new improvisation project Electric Dreams, in which collaborates with her favourite musicians to create unique, spontaneous compositions. The show also coincides with the release of her upcoming album, Polyhymnia.
Next up is trombonist Rosie Turton, who brings along her quintet following the acclaimed 5ive EP, released on Jazz re:freshed in January. Rosie is part of Nérija, a fast-rising supergroup comprised of the likes of Nubya Garcia and Cassie Kinoshi.
Opening the show will be internationally renowned harpist and the PRS Women Make Music Award winner Alina Bzhezhinska with a stunning solo performance. She’s performed with leading classical and jazz musicians such as Shabaka Hutchings, Django Bates, Miguel Atwood-Ferguson and the Glasgow String Quartet.
