Event Preview: ACID ARAB Live @ Fabric (London; Thursday 28th April 2022)
You are always in for a good time with the mighty Parisian electronic music crew! ACID ARAB sets are dynamic and never dull. They’ve brought melismatic vocal samples and instrumentation to heavy bass, deep acid house and all sorts of electronic elements. This being a live set as well, there’ll be plenty of synth solo’s, more improvising and more energy.
The video for ‘STAIFIA’ feat. Radia Menel (premiered in March 2022) gives a good indication of the music you can expect. Better yet, put on the Live at 2nd Sun, Grand Factory or Live @ L’Aérosol in Paris concerts on YouTube for the big live sound and feel.
An old write up said ‘When Turkish disco rubs shoulders with acid-house and other nuggets from Damascus, Beirut and Istanbul.’ And there are lots of these elements still but now I feel it has gotten heavier and I’m here for it.
This is exactly the kind of gig we all fantasised about being at over lockdown, so no excuses, see you there!
