What’s not to like about midsummer parties? The longer the day, the longer the party, they say, so join us on Saturday the 25th of June at the Post Bar in Tottenham for a good and proper musical bash featuring sounds from all over the world!

It all starts at 9PM and continues until 3 in the morning, we will treat you by hosting some of the finest live acts and DJs of the London global scene

You are going to be embraced by a deluge of Eastern and Central Africa funky notes courtesy of Seby Ntege and his band, followed by the Middle Eastern aromas and Hebrew jazz scents showcased by Noga Ritter and her trio.

Then, behind the decks, AmarAll, Carthnage, Marley, Sophie Darling and Lou Pino will indulge your dance yearnings with their sets, ranging from Tropicalia vibes to Middle Eastern bass, and Afro-Caribbean rhythms to Latin vintagy grooves.

On one of the longest days of the year, Rhythm Passport will join forces with University of Tropical Sound and Baila Portuñol to bring to North London six hours of smooth vibes and uplifting music!

Line up:

  • Seby Ntege is an inspired and brilliant singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who was born in the Busoga region of Eastern Uganda. He moved to London 20 years ago and since then, supported by his multicultural band, he has been refining his very own Afro-soul sound, inspired by his roots and African diasporic influences. So much so, attending one of his performances means enjoying a musical full-immersion in Pan-African vibes, experiencing and connecting with rhythms and stories from all around the Continent.
  • To open the evening, singer/songwriter, band leader and workshop facilitator Noga Ritter, who will be singing songs from her upcoming album in a stripped-back trio version, accompanied on the occasion by two eclectic as well as accomplished musicians, guitarist Phil Dawson (Tony Allen, Mulatu Astatke, Gilberto Gil) and Maurizio Ravalico on percussions (Jamiroquai, Dele Sosimi’s Afrobeat Ensemble).
  • DJ AmarAll (Baila Portuñol) is an Anglo-Brazilian DJ showcasing AfroLatin mood under the influence of Psychedelia. Casa El Pastor Resident DJ and part of the Electro Tropical Movement in the UK unearthing the very essence of Tropicality.
  • Carthnage (University of Tropical Sound) is an electronic bass and house project where we explore our love for Arabic and North-African sounds.
  • Marley is a London-based selector hailing from the North, currently holding down a residency at Longthrow Radio and soon starting at Voices Radio and Subtle FM. This year she founded her own night No Boundaries which has been showcasing the eclectic, underground talent in London. Her sound is broad but she loves to dig deep into the Afro-House and Brazilian sounds that make a dancefloor electric. Expect sounds to make you move!
  • DJ Sophie Darling plays an eclectic mix of up-beat feel good grooves from all corners of the globe with special focus on Arab and African disco and dance and spinning as much on vinyl as possible.
  • Lou Pino (In the City) is a DJ and Radio Presenter known for his popular monthly radio show Grand Parade on Reel Rebels Radio, a superb mix of vintage Jamaican, calypso and Latin music, plus politics, football, food and general insanity.
