No worries, we’re not becoming repetitive. Some of you may indeed remember that we wrote about them a few months ago, reviewing their latest London performance to be more precise. But it’s not our fault if we can’t get enough of Alsarah and the Nubatones groove, which can sound sophisticated and genuine at the same time.

Then, to make things even more tempting, we just have to add that their forthcoming London gig at Rich Mix (organised by Marsm UK) will be the UK launch of the band’s new album titled Manara and released by Wonderwheel on the 30th of September.

Expect a night of captivating retro-pop, North-Eastern Africa feelings, mellow vintage atmosphere and hip-wiggling dances. Alsarah and her stage partners are indeed masters in alluring their audience and carrying them thousand miles away to meet with the fabled and still intense Nubian tradition.
