Preview: Eliane Correa & La Evolución Orchestra @ Pizza Express Soho (London; Friday 25th October 2019)
The second part of October will bring the seventh edition of The London Latin Jazz Fest, and we can’t fail to include it in our Gig Guide. EdMotta, EmerisSolis, and ClaudiaAurora are only a few of the many remarkable names enriching a quality programme. But we wanted to celebrate the mind and music taste behind the week-long event; the festival curator, Eliane Correa.
There’s arguably no better way to do that than by suggesting you head for Pizza Express Soho on 25th October and experience plenty of the Afro-Latin and Cuban jazzy vibes performed by Eli eLaEvolución.
The Cuban-Argentinian pianist, composer and bandleader, who’s currently living in London and enriching its music scene with her talent, will be accompanied by an impressive 12-member-strong orchestra of local musicians, all of them with Latin origins. Together, they will surely do the honours, getting you dancing to their unrestrainable urban salsa rhythms and having you deep breathing some Cuban musical scents.

La Linea 2017 gets underway tonight with Julieta Venegas and Gizmo Varillas at Barbican.
