Here’s another bright example of the fact that Brazilian hip-hop is livelier and louder than ever. On 24th July, Emicida, one of the most popular and inspired names of South American music, will pay a visit to The Jazz Cafe in Camden for one of the highlights of the month.
Leandro Roque de Oliveira might have built a name for himself in his native country thanks to his outspoken and sharp lyrics, but it’s arguably by virtue of the richness of his music, which draws plenty from African and Brazilian tradition, that he has become well known all over the world.
On Wednesday 24th July, Emicida will be in London for the only UK leg of his Euro Tour. Don’t miss the chance to catch a Brazilian master at work.
