Preview: Global Beats Club w/ Afrikan Boy + Saronde & More @ Hootananny (London; Friday 6th March 2020)
We are huge fans of Afrikan Boyhere at Rhythm Passport. So much so, that every time the South London musician parties in his hometown you will find us in the front row. That’s what will also happen at Hootananny on Friday the 6th of March, when the Global Beats Club team will host the Woolwich MC for an intoxicating Afro-dance night.
Between 10PM and 3AM, Afrikan Boy, supported for the occasion by the Afro-Futurism of Saronde and Kontiki Afro-grooves, will display all his glorious West-African inspired sound featuring his absolute devotion to Fela Kuti and afrobeat, moving into the jazz and funk realms, to eventually touch his past as a hip-hop and grime MC.
There’s arguably no better way to enjoy and fully embrace Afrikan Boy music than experiencing it live in South London, so head to Brixton on the 6th of March and revel in his original perspective of Afro-fusion.
