They’re little more than twenty years old, released just one album and their career debuted only two years ago…
But they’ve already turned the music world upside-down!
Lisa-Kainde and Naomi Diaz, better known as Ibeyi, will soon turn Koko, London and the U.K.upside-down too with their forthcoming tour, which will see them playing seven gigs all around the country (they’ll also visit also Brighton, Bristol, Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester and Glasgow)
The Diaz sisters, who published their début album “Ibeyi” few months ago, are one of the most glaring examples of how two twins can look, act and sound different but also how two opposites can become one alike.
Ibeyi is indeed an intriguing project, which is able to mirror the many inspirations of the two musicians who form it.
Cuba and France, Yoruba and Santeria, hip-hop and songwriting, electronic and folklore, piano and percussions: it is said that the opposites attract… then you’ll find it hard to resist their allure.
