Preview: K.O.G. & The Zongo Brigade + Afriquoi (Drum & DJ Set) @ Camden Assembly (London, 6th January 2017)
Camden Assembly will go fully Afro-dance on the 6th of January, when K.O.G. & The Zongo Brigade and Afriquoi will share the stage for an incendiary double bill. The UK based big-bands will bring their West African vibes to the North London venue for a heartening show that will let you dance from the first to the last note played.
It will all begin at 10PM with the 9-piece ensemble from Sheffield. K.O.G. & The Zongo Brigade are groovy, uplifting and fusion enough to satisfy the most demanding and fun-seeking palates. They built their name playing their infectious sound at the major UK festivals (e.g. Glastonbury and Reading/Leeds) and making a hundred thousand legs and feet shake. You won’t be able to avoid joining the throng.
Then, Afriquoi will keep the energy high until 3AM with their drum and DJ set, grooving music taste and upbeat selection.
Don’t plan in advance any diet or ultimate workout program to slim down your festive belly this January… the only thing you’ll need to do is to head down to Camden Assembly on the first Friday of the year and dance the calories away thanks to five hours of all consuming West African rhythms and vibes.
