Preview: Little Dragon @ O2 Academy Brixton (London; Thursday 26th March 2020)

Little Dragon are a safe bet for a great live performance. Their music is filled with infectious rhythms and melodies that get you grooving, while lead singer Yukimi Nagano’s voice lulls you into a trance with its silkiness.

Hailing from Gothenburg, the band formed in 1996 and has been releasing electro-pop records since 2006. While each album has something unique, there is something about their overarching sound that is hard to describe but amazing to listen to. They can be upbeat one minute, and then can play ‘Twice’ and totally change the mood.

Their newest release Hold On is sure to be a crowd pleaser with its danceable beat and smooth vocals. This, coupled with the atmosphere in one of my favourite venues in the city – the O2 Academy Brixton – means this is sure to be a great show.
