Preview: Lokkhi Terra meets Dele Sosimi – Cubafrobeat @ Ronnie Scott’s (London; Sunday 12th January 2020)
There’s no way you can start 2020 in a jazzier way than attending this gig. Cubafrobeat is indeed one of the niftiest and most upbeat projects of the decade just ended, and it will go on scene, on the shining Ronnie Scott’s stage on the 12th of January.
In June 2018, Lokkhi Terra and Dele Sosimi (two heavyweights of the London music scene) released one of the grooviest albums of the 2010s delving into, unearthing and connecting (as the name clearly indicates) Cuban and Western Africa traditions.
Luckily, the project didn’t stop there, but the musicians are bringing it forward in 2020 too. Join them in Soho and have your first proper dance of the year!
