London’s live music calendar has only a few well-established recurring events, such as The Proms, London Jazz Festival, British Summer Time, Field Day and, of course, Remixed Festival.

It’s a fact that the only one truly presenting and promoting the most local and organic aspects of the London music scene is the latter. Since 2012, London Remixed Festival offers a much-needed spotlight for London and UK emerging acts.

Throughout to the 2-day event, 25 young and up-and-coming musicians, bands and DJs can finally enjoy some brilliant exposure, thanks to four stages, two floors (plus an elevator) and hundreds of gig-goers crowding into Rich Mix every evening.

The secret behind London Remixed Festival is not only in its number, but in the party atmosphere that cheers up the East-London venue throughout the weekend. Every year, Continental Drift, in partnership with some of the most upbeat London based music promoters (like Movimientos, Wormfood, Arts Canteen and Vibes and Pressure), organises a good-and-proper music fiesta. The 2017 edition, on the first weekend of February, won’t be an exception.

West & Central African, Latin and Gypsy sounds will be played non-stop by names like Beating Heart, Afriquoi, Mango Rescue Team, Matuki, Gypsy Hill and Koby Israelite. Then, it will also be about the music selection of DJs like Chris Tofu, Kobayashi and Cal Jader. They will let you dance, jump around, smile and fully enjoy an extraordinary weekend.

Event Review: Ealing Jazz Festival @ Walpole Park (London, 29th July 2017)

Much like a charming village fete with a complimentary cleansing mud bath, Ealing Jazz Festival provided both entertainment and healing from the music and comedy of sliding from one stage to another. Unfortunately for the locals, this was the second week that the Walpole celebrations had been washed out. However,…
