Preview: Love Carnival with Populous, Dendê Nation, SNO & Papaoul @ CLF Art Café (London; Friday 1st March 2019)

We know how you feel in this period, scrolling through your social feeds and envying friends, colleagues or acquaintances having the time of their lives at some random carnival parade who knows where. But don’t despair, because at times, you don’t need to be in Rio, New Orleans or Venice to enjoy some good and proper carnival vibes; London might be the place for you!

Save the date, because on Friday (1st March) you can still have a carnival party to remember, with tropical, Afro-Brazilian, West African and Latin beats courtesy of the Movimientos crew.

They will bring their fun-filled Love Carnival show to CLF Art Cafe in Peckham, and you can be sure that you will exhaust the soles of your dancing shoes moving your feet and everything else above them to the lush notes played by Italian multi-instrumentalist, producer and DJ Populous, next to the glorious samba rhythms of Dendê Nation and a selection of the vitalising global beats by SNO from the Manchester-based collective Banana Hill and Worldwide FM global beats selector Papaoul.

So…are you Carnival ready?

Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band‘s cover) portraying music characters who have populated the…
