Preview: Manu Delago & Friends @ Kings Place (London; Saturday 17th February 2018)
Get ready for a Manu Delago-themed evening. On the 17th of February, Kings Place will host a one-off residency, in three acts, from the Austrian hang-player, percussionist and composer.
The event will start at 6PM with a first display of Delago’s brand new project titled Inside a Human Clock, ruminating over the concept of time. The one-hour-long set will be followed by an unplugged rendition of Silver Kobalt and Metromonk (Delago’s latest albums), which will take to the stage at 7.30PM. The evening will eventually culminate with the second performance of his time-related show at 9.30PM.
For the occasion, Manu Delago will be supported by an orchestra of 11 musicians, and good friends (who will also accompany him during the unplugged set) as he will unfold his perspective over time through the concept of human clocks, interacting with and giving a first-hand experience to the audience.
Inside a Human Clock is a project which is part of an extensive calendar of events that will characterise Kings Place’s programme throughout 2018. The venue will stage Time Unwrapped: a 50-show music series reflecting on the concept of time using 50 different takes on time conveyed by artists belonging to distant music worlds (from classical to folk, passing through to world and experimental music).
The clock is ticking and tickets are selling fast for Delago’s shows. Be sure not to arrive late!
