Nate Smith brings us a blazing hot rhythm section with sax melodies that effortlessly weave throughout the compositions. Regardless of when you see Nate Smith and KINFOLK perform live, you are sure to be in a head-boppingly good mood by the end of the evening.
The core idea behind Nate’s latest project KINFOLK is to strip back the sound to focus solely on improvisation, rhythm and melody. By doing this, he brings an existential approach to the jazz sphere by showing that the raw components are enough to bring a sound to the table that is both innovative and full sounding. However, it’s the grooves that offer the perfect foundation to his tracks – beautifully coloured by his band in a way that makes you keep the rhythm with you long after you’ve gone home.
Join Nate Smith and KINFOLK at the intimate Jazz Cafe on 12th July to see them in action.
