It is said that difficulties break some men but make others…as a matter of fact, Owiny Sigoma Band musicians have definitely become stronger people after their recently troubled months. The death of an important band member like Charles Owoko would have turned upside down and put through the wringer every ensemble, but the Brit-Kenyan quintet showed that, thanks to music, you can endure and overcome hard times.

In fact, starting from Sunday, they will travel the U.K. touring with their latest album (titled Nyanza and released last September by Brownswood Recordings) and displaying their distinctive blend between British electro and Kenyan traditional sounds.

You won’t have too much troubles catching them live, because they will cover all the U.K. from Leeds (at the Brudenell on the 22nd) to Swansea (The Welfare on the 29th). They will also stop over at the The Harley in Sheffield (23rd), Birmingham’s Hare and Hounds (on the 24th), Colston Hall in Bristol (on the 26th), Rich Mix in London (27th) and Manchester, where they will play during Chorlton Arts Festival (on the 28th).

Are you ready to enjoy the vibes of Nyanza nights?
