Music with a conscience and a positive message; Folk of The World is a cause dedicated to celebrating the diversity of music by London refugees and raising awareness of the challenges faced by asylum seekers in the UK. On 3rd May, the Round Chapel in Clapton will be hosting this cultural event and inviting Native Sun and other musicians to perform.

Native Sun bring their own swag with forward hip-hop beats, African rhythms and catchy melody hooks wrapped in the heat of their uplifting words. The duo is made up of bilingual rapper Mohammed Yahya and songwriter Sarina Leah, binding their Mozambique and Caribbean roots. Together, they tell lessons of inspiration and hope. The band will also be joined by other artists close to the mission, who have their own experiences to share.

This night promises to be a cultural exploration of different sounds and rhythms. This is a chance to celebrate and dig deep into the beauty and richness of our integrated London family.
