There’s no doubt that Reginald Omas Mamode lV is a man with a story to tell; actually, more than just one. Stories that he not only loves to narrate, but also sets to music. The Peckham artist has indeed fine-tuned imaginative and soulful songwriting, with which he recalls his Malagasy background, enriched by the East African island traditional styles like sega and maloya, and his London present, embodied by more contemporary sounds, from jazz-fusion to hip-hop and Afro-Caribbean ones (funk, reggae and soul).

After having released a few EPs, he’s finally ready to make the big step and launch his debut LP on Five Easy Pieces. Inspired by his recent trip to the Mascarene Islands, and titled Where We Going?, the album reflects his back-to-roots journey, but also expands Reginald’s musical viewpoint, including influences from all over the world.

On 6th June, join Reginald Omas Mamode lV, accompanied by Al Dobson Jr, Ig Culture, and Tuckshop’s DJs at NT’s in South Hackney for the Where We Going? album launch.
