Born 1966, Ryoji Ikeda is an artist working across both visual and sonic media, concerned with sound in its raw states, its visual configuration, mathematical aesthetics, and human perception.
Presented by Thirty Three Thirty Three, Barbican Centre, Selfridges, and The Japan Foundation, Ikeda will perform his new audio-visual work Test Pattern at The Selfridges Old Hotel on Thursday, 28th September.
Through a real-time computer programme, he will convert an audio signal pattern into synchronized visual patterns, creating an immersive, fast-paced powerful experience.
