An exciting new regular evening is debuting on the global music scene this November in the reasonably new and quirky music venue, The Post Bar – a two-minute walk from Seven Sisters.

The philanthropic event aims to highlight the ongoing issues surrounding migrants and refugees, and raises money for charities that help with this in London. The evening seems to be a coming-together of activism, with speakers from represented charities and art groups, in the form of a ‘zine filled with drawings and poetry – all celebrated through groovy global beats.

The headliners, The Scorpios, are a Sudanese traditional band that fuse electronics, funk and reggae into their sets, whilst Stunflower are a fusion of rock, psych and Indian traditional music elements. Slow Rebelling will perform their debut of political and feminist-inspired songs, whilst DJs that specialise in Vietnamese vinyl, Indonesian music and Afro/Maghreb disco are set to keep the dancing going till 3am.

A positive celebration and a safe space is the ethos – whilst dancing all night together is the reality.
