Preview: Seun Kuti & Egypt 80 with Dele Sosimi & Afrobeat Orchestra @ Electric Brixton (London; Friday 2nd March 2018)
It will be the Afrobeat event of the year, next to one of the most exciting music parties of the month. When the official Afrobeat ambassador comes to town, you can be pretty sure that you’re going to sweat and dance away all the working week’s toxins in an all-singing and all-dancing night.
On the 2nd of March, Electric Brixton will forget that it is in London and dress up like the Shrine in Lagos for an 8-hour non-stop gig that will see on stage, directly from the Nigerian capital, Fela Kuti’s son Seun Kuti with the Egypt 80, who will be also celebrating the release of his 4th album Black Times. To support them and keep the good vibes going from 9PM to 4AM in the morning, there will be someone who musically grew up with Seun’s father, Dele Sosimi and his Afrobeat Orchestra.
Get ready and get comfy because there’s no chance they will spare you a dance!
